About Us

Jason A. Wilder, PT, Dip. MDT is a 1998 graduate of the physical therapy program at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Along with his clinical practice he has continued his education through the McKenzie Institute International, having completed a post-graduate diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. He is the only therapist in the Lakeway Region with this distinction. Through this continuing education, clinical experience and continued association with colleagues and mentors, Jason has built a strong skill set in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions in all ages. Jason has been a guest lecturer for the physical therapist assistant program at South College and a continuing education presenter in the area of post-operative and conservative management of the spine.

Jason is a native of Morristown; a 1993 graduate of Morristown East High School. He and his wife DeAnna have 3 children, keeping him quite busy outside of the clinic. He is a member of the Morristown Church of God and active in the music and youth/children’s ministries. He is also a member of the Hamblen County Health Council.

DeAnna Wilder, PTA

DeAnna serves as a physical therapist assistant and billing manager for Apex Physical Therapy.

She is a native of Knoxville where she graduated from Central High School. She is a graduate of the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Roane State Community College. She has extensive experience in the field of physical therapy from the outpatient setting to working with children with disabilities in the Knox County School System. DeAnna is always ready with a smile to welcome the patients at Apex.

DeAnna is also Jason’s wife and the mother of 3 children. Of course this means soccer practice, piano lessons and all kinds of activities. She is a member of the Morristown Church of God active in the children’s ministry.

Dorothy Cox

Dorothy serves as the office manager for Apex Physical Therapy.

She has lived in Morristown most of her life and before coming to Apex Physical Therapy; she worked at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System for over 9 years. She also has an extensive background in the local business community having worked in both the real estate market and the banking industry.

Dorothy says her favorite part of her job at Apex Physical Therapy is working with people and seeing first hand some of the success stories of patients. “It makes us so happy when patients tell us how much better they feel after visiting for just a few sessions, “she says. “I’m proud to be associated with Apex and happy to play even a small role in helping our patients!”

Dorothy is the parent of a grown daughter who also works in service to others. She and her daughter share bragging rights on Dorothy’s granddaughter who is an avid gymnast and cheerleader. They are members of Morristown Church of God.
